Maxïmo Park are a British indie rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne formed in 2000. Their debut album 'A Certain Trigger' (2005) achieved UK Top 20 success during the post-punk revival era. Singles like 'Apply Some Pressure' and 'Going Missing' showcased their energetic, angular sound and Paul Smith's distinctive vocals. The band's literate lyrics and new wave influences earned them critical acclaim and a devoted following.
