Linx were a British synth-funk duo consisting of David Grant and Sketch Martin who achieved success in the early 1980s. Their hits 'You're Lying,' 'Intuition,' and 'So This Is Romance' showcased their sophisticated blend of electronic production with soulful vocals. Linx represented the quality of British funk and soul during the early 1980s, when UK acts were developing distinctive approaches to American-influenced music. After Linx disbanded, David Grant achieved further success as a solo artist and later as a vocal coach on talent shows. Their music influenced the development of British R&B and demonstrated that UK artists could create credible funk music with their own character.
