Krokus is a Swiss hard rock band formed in 1975 who achieved international success in the 1980s. Often called 'the AC/DC of Switzerland,' their straightforward hard rock sound produced albums like 'Metal Rendez-vous' and 'Headhunter' that achieved gold and platinum status. Their biggest hit, 'Screaming in the Night,' showcased their melodic hard rock approach. Krokus demonstrated that continental European bands could compete with British and American hard rock acts. Despite lineup changes and hiatuses, the band continued recording and performing. Krokus represented Switzerland's most successful contribution to international hard rock, proving that heavy music could emerge from unexpected locations.
