Artist: Keef Hartley Band
Genre: Blues Rock
The Keef Hartley Band was a British blues rock group led by drummer Keef Hartley, who had previously played with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. The band performed at Woodstock, though their performance was omitted from the film and original soundtrack. Their albums combined blues rock with jazz and brass influences, creating a sophisticated sound that distinguished them from straightforward blues bands. Hartley's drumming and the band's tight musicianship earned them respect in the British blues-rock scene. Though they never achieved major commercial success, the Keef Hartley Band influenced the development of jazz-rock and brass rock. Their Woodstock appearance cemented their place in rock history.
