Isley-Jasper-Isley was an American R&B group formed by Ernie Isley, Marvin Isley, and Chris Jasper after they split from the larger Isley Brothers configuration in 1984. The trio had been responsible for much of the Isley Brothers' 1970s funk direction and continued that approach with sophisticated R&B productions. Their biggest hit, 'Caravan of Love,' showcased their smooth harmonies and became a UK number one hit when covered by The Housemartins. The group demonstrated that the younger Isley Brothers contingent could succeed independently. After several albums, they eventually reunited with the original Isley Brothers. Their work bridged the classic Isley Brothers sound with contemporary 1980s R&B production techniques.
