Insted was an American straight edge hardcore band from Orange County, California, active primarily in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band became influential figures in the youth crew hardcore movement, promoting positive messages and the straight edge lifestyle rejecting drugs and alcohol. Their albums 'Bonds of Friendship' and 'What We Believe' became touchstones for the positive hardcore movement. Insted's energetic, melodic hardcore influenced subsequent generations of straight edge and positive hardcore bands. The band represented the more optimistic, community-focused side of hardcore punk during a period when the scene was developing distinct subcultures. They reunited for performances in later years, demonstrating the enduring appeal of their message.

Debut album from the Californian straightedge band including Tell Me Good Things and Choose For Yourself. The sleeve retains its original opened shrink and is in excellent condition along with the vinyl that shows little in the way of play and has survived for over 30 years wit nothing more than a few paper scuffs to show its age
