Innocence were a British dance music act who achieved success in the early 1990s with their house-influenced pop. Their biggest hit, 'Natural Thing,' featured vocals by Gee Morris and became a UK Top 20 hit in 1990. The track's combination of soulful vocals with house production represented the successful crossover of dance music into the pop mainstream. Innocence were part of the wave of British dance acts who brought club sounds to chart success as house music transformed British pop in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their polished, radio-friendly approach to dance music helped establish the template for subsequent UK dance-pop. Though primarily remembered as a singles act, Innocence contributed to the development of British dance music.
