Artist: Icehouse
Genre: Synth-Pop/New Wave

Icehouse is an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977, originally known as Flowers. Led by vocalist and guitarist Iva Davies, the band achieved international success with their sophisticated blend of new wave, synth-pop, and art rock. Their biggest hits included 'Great Southern Land,' 'Hey Little Girl,' 'Crazy,' and 'Electric Blue.' 'Great Southern Land' became an Australian anthem, capturing the country's vast landscape in synthesizer-driven rock. Davies' distinctive vocals and the band's polished production made them one of Australia's most successful musical exports of the 1980s. Icehouse's sound evolved across their albums while maintaining a commitment to atmospheric, intelligent pop rock. They remain active and beloved in Australia, where 'Great Southern Land' has achieved cultural landmark status.
