Hurrah! were a British indie pop band from the North East of England, active during the mid-1980s. The band's jangly guitar sound and melodic approach made them part of the influential C86 indie pop movement that shaped British independent music. Their singles and albums on Kitchenware Records showcased their talent for creating memorable, guitar-driven pop songs. Hurrah! were associated with other North East bands on the Kitchenware label, including Prefab Sprout and The Kane Gang. Though they never achieved mainstream breakthrough, Hurrah! were well-regarded within the indie scene and contributed to the development of British indie pop. Their music represented the melodic, guitar-based approach that would continue to influence British independent music for decades.
