The Hollies are a British rock and pop band formed in Manchester in 1962, renowned for their distinctive vocal harmonies and consistent hitmaking throughout the 1960s and beyond. Original members Allan Clarke, Graham Nash, and Tony Hicks created a sound characterized by intricate three-part harmonies that influenced countless subsequent acts. Their extensive catalog of hits includes 'Bus Stop,' 'Carrie Anne,' 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother,' and 'Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress.' The band survived the departure of Graham Nash (who left to form Crosby, Stills & Nash) and continued producing hit records into the 1970s and 1980s. The Hollies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, recognizing their remarkable longevity and contribution to British pop music.
