Heavy Pettin' were a Scottish hard rock band formed in Glasgow in 1981, part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement. The band's melodic hard rock sound, featuring strong hooks and powerful vocals from Steve Hayman, earned them a deal with Polydor Records. Albums 'Lettin' Loose' and 'Rock Ain't Dead' showcased their radio-friendly approach to heavy rock.
