George Frideric Handel was a German-born British Baroque composer who became one of the most celebrated composers of his era. His works, including the oratorio 'Messiah,' the 'Water Music,' the 'Music for the Royal Fireworks,' and numerous operas, represent the pinnacle of Baroque musical achievement. Born in Halle, Germany, Handel spent most of his career in London, where he became a naturalized British citizen. His dramatic flair and melodic gifts made his operas and oratorios hugely popular. Handel's influence extended throughout classical music history, with his work admired by Mozart, Beethoven, and countless subsequent composers.
