Goldfrapp is a British electronic music duo formed in 1999 by vocalist Alison Goldfrapp and composer Will Gregory. They have become known for their diverse, constantly evolving sound that has encompassed ambient electronica, glam rock, synth-pop, and folk influences across different albums. Their debut 'Felt Mountain' established them as purveyors of cinematic, atmospheric electronica, while 'Black Cherry' and 'Supernature' embraced a more glamorous, danceable synth-pop sound. Hits like 'Strict Machine,' 'Ooh La La,' and 'Number 1' showcased their ability to create sophisticated pop music. Alison Goldfrapp's distinctive voice and striking visual presentations have made them a compelling live act. Their willingness to reinvent themselves with each album while maintaining artistic integrity has earned them critical acclaim and a devoted following in the electronic music world.
