Artist: George Frideric Handel
Genre: Classical/Baroque
George Frideric Handel was a German-born British Baroque composer who became one of the most celebrated composers of his era. His works, including the oratorio 'Messiah,' the 'Water Music,' and numerous operas, represent the pinnacle of Baroque musical achievement. Born in Halle, Germany, Handel spent most of his career in London, where he became a naturalized British citizen. His dramatic flair and melodic gifts made his operas and oratorios hugely popular. 'Messiah,' with its famous 'Hallelujah' chorus, remains one of the most frequently performed choral works. Handel's influence extended throughout classical music history, with his work admired by Mozart, Beethoven, and countless subsequent composers. His ability to combine Italian operatic style with German craftsmanship created a distinctly cosmopolitan Baroque sound.
