Geordie was a British rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, best known for featuring Brian Johnson, who later achieved massive fame as the lead vocalist of AC/DC. Active primarily in the 1970s, Geordie achieved UK chart success with singles including 'All Because of You' and 'Can You Do It,' showcasing their straightforward, glam-influenced hard rock sound. The band's name came from the regional nickname for people from Tyneside. Brian Johnson's powerful, distinctive voice was already evident in Geordie's recordings, foreshadowing his later success. Though the band never achieved sustained mainstream success, their connection to Johnson has ensured continued interest in their recordings.
