Gary Walker was an American musician best known as the drummer for The Walker Brothers, the hugely successful 1960s pop group that also featured Scott Walker and John Walker. The Walker Brothers achieved major success in the UK with songs like 'The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore' and 'Make It Easy on Yourself.' After the group's initial breakup, Gary Walker released solo material and formed Gary Walker & the Rain, achieving moderate success in Japan. His drumming style contributed to The Walker Brothers' dramatic pop sound. Though often overshadowed by Scott Walker's subsequent solo career, Gary Walker was an integral part of one of the 1960s' most successful pop groups. His contribution to their distinctive sound helped create some of the decade's most memorable recordings.
