Foreigner is a British-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by British guitarist Mick Jones and American vocalist Lou Gramm. The band became one of the most successful rock acts of the late 1970s and 1980s, expertly blending hard rock power with pop sensibilities. Their 1977 debut launched them with hits like 'Feels Like the First Time' and 'Cold as Ice.' Their peak came with albums like '4' (1981), spawning massive hits 'Urgent' and 'Waiting for a Girl Like You.'
