Fabio Frizzi is an Italian composer best known for horror film soundtracks, particularly collaborations with director Lucio Fulci during late 1970s-1980s. Born in Bologna in 1951, Frizzi became one of Italian horror cinema's most distinctive composers creating atmospheric, unsettling scores. His famous work includes soundtracks for Fulci's 'Zombi 2' (1979), 'City of the Living Dead,' and 'The Beyond' featuring blend of progressive rock, synthesizers, and orchestral elements. Frizzi's music combined prog-rock sensibilities with horror atmospherics creating soundscapes both musically sophisticated and effectively eerie.
