The Everly Brothers were an American rock and roll duo consisting of brothers Don (1937-2021) and Phil Everly (1939-2014), who became one of the most influential acts in rock and roll history. Their close harmony singing influenced countless artists including The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Hollies. The Everly Brothers had numerous hits including 'Bye Bye Love,' 'Wake Up Little Susie,' 'All I Have to Do Is Dream,' and 'Cathy's Clown.' Their music bridged country and rock and roll, creating a sound that was both traditional and modern. The brothers' harmonies were impeccable, setting standards for vocal duos. Despite a decade-long estrangement, they reunited in 1983 and continued performing. Their influence on rock and country music is immeasurable, with their harmony style becoming a template for generations of artists. The Everly Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
