Embrace are an English rock band formed in Huddersfield in 1990, consisting of brothers Danny and Richard McNamara along with other members. The band emerged during the Britpop era but achieved their greatest success in the late 1990s and 2000s. Their debut album 'The Good Will Out' was a critical and commercial success. Embrace's music combines anthemic rock with emotional vulnerability, featuring Danny McNamara's distinctive vocals and the band's ability to craft memorable melodies. Hits included 'All You Good Good People,' 'Come Back to What You Know,' and 'Ashes.' While associated with Britpop, Embrace's more emotional approach set them apart from the movement's cooler, ironic stance. They've maintained their career across multiple decades, building a devoted following. Embrace represent Britpop's more heartfelt wing, demonstrating that British rock could be both anthemic and emotionally honest.
