Dodgy are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1990, consisting of Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest, and Andy Miller. The band became part of the Britpop movement in the mid-1990s, achieving success with their melodic, harmony-rich rock. Their biggest hits included 'Staying Out for the Summer,' 'Good Enough,' and 'In a Room.' Dodgy's music combined Beatles-influenced melodies with contemporary Britpop sensibilities and positive, life-affirming lyrics. Their harmonies and melodic approach set them apart from more aggressive Britpop bands. Despite chart success and critical acclaim, internal tensions led to their split in 1998. Dodgy reformed in 2007 and continue performing. They represented Britpop's more optimistic, melodic wing, creating feel-good guitar pop that emphasized harmony and accessibility over attitude.
