Dennis Brown was a Jamaican reggae singer born in 1957, known as the 'Crown Prince of Reggae.' Brown began recording as a child and became one of reggae's most prolific and beloved artists. Brown recorded hundreds of songs and numerous albums, working with top reggae producers including Niney the Observer and Joe Gibbs. Hits included 'Money in My Pocket,' 'Love Has Found Its Way,' and 'Revolution.' Brown's influence on reggae singers is substantial, with his vocal style influencing countless artists. He maintained his career until his untimely death in 1999 at age 42. Brown represented reggae singing at its most soulful and prolific, demonstrating consistent quality across a massive output. He remains one of reggae's most revered and influential vocalists.
