Del Amitri are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Glasgow in 1980, led by singer-songwriter Justin Currie. The band achieved success in the late 1980s and 1990s with their melodic, thoughtful rock. Hits included 'Kiss This Thing Goodbye,' 'Always the Last to Know,' and 'Roll to Me,' which became a Top 10 hit in the US. Del Amitri's music combined jangly guitars with Currie's intelligent, often melancholic lyrics and distinctive vocals. Their sound was more Americana-influenced than typical British rock, appealing to both rock and adult alternative audiences. After splitting in 2002, Del Amitri reformed in 2013 and continue performing.
