With Japan, Sylvian helped create the new romantic sound with his distinctive vocals and artistic sensibility. His solo work has been more experimental, incorporating ambient, jazz, and avant-garde elements. Albums like 'Brilliant Trees' and 'Gone to Earth' showcase his sophisticated, atmospheric approach.
