Cutting Crew were an English rock band formed in London in 1985, best known for their massive 1986 hit '(I Just) Died in Your Arms.' The band consisted of Nick Van Eede, Kevin MacMichael, Colin Farley, and Martin Beadle. '(I Just) Died in Your Arms' became an international success, topping the US Billboard Hot 100 and becoming one of the defining power ballads of the 1980s. Other songs included 'I've Been in Love Before' and 'One for the Mockingbird.' Cutting Crew's music combined guitar rock with pop sensibilities and emotional lyrics. Despite their initial success, the band was unable to replicate the massive impact of their debut hit and became essentially a one-hit wonder in many territories. Van Eede has continued performing under the Cutting Crew name, and '(I Just) Died in Your Arms' remains a beloved 1980s classic regularly featured in films and television.
