Artist: Colin Blunstone
Genre: Pop Rock
Colin Blunstone is an English singer-songwriter born in 1945, best known as the lead vocalist of The Zombies, one of the most influential British Invasion bands. Blunstone's distinctive breathy, melancholic voice was central to The Zombies' sound on classics like 'She's Not There' and 'Time of the Season.' After The Zombies broke up in 1968, Blunstone pursued a successful solo career, initially under the pseudonym Neil MacArthur. His solo hits included 'Say You Don't Mind' and 'I Don't Believe in Miracles.' Blunstone's solo work explored sophisticated pop and progressive rock. He also worked with The Alan Parsons Project and collaborated with his former Zombies bandmate Rod Argent in various projects. The Zombies eventually reunited, and Blunstone has balanced solo work with the band. His distinctive voice and emotional delivery have made him one of British pop's most recognizable vocalists.
