Artist: Celtic Frost
Genre: Extreme Metal

Celtic Frost were a Swiss extreme metal band formed in 1984 by Tom Warrior and Martin Ain, becoming one of the most influential bands in extreme metal. Originally emerging from the band Hellhammer, Celtic Frost created groundbreaking music that influenced black metal, death metal, and gothic metal. Their albums 'Morbid Tales,' 'To Mega Therion,' and 'Into the Pandemonium' are considered extreme metal classics. Celtic Frost incorporated classical, industrial, and gothic elements into their heavy sound, creating an avant-garde approach to extreme metal. Songs like 'Circle of the Tyrants' and 'Procreation (of the Wicked)' became influential. The band experimented with different styles, sometimes controversially. After disbanding in 1993, they reformed in 2001 before finally ending in 2008. Celtic Frost's willingness to experiment and their influence on extreme metal's development make them one of the genre's most important bands, demonstrating that extreme metal could be both brutal and artistic.
