Cattle Decapitation are an American death metal band formed in San Diego in 1996, known for their extreme sound and pro-animal rights, vegan advocacy. The band creates brutal death metal and grindcore addressing animal cruelty, environmental destruction, and human impact on Earth. Fronted by Travis Ryan, whose vocal abilities range from deep growls to high screams, Cattle Decapitation have released numerous albums including 'The Harvest Floor' and 'Death Atlas.' Their music is technically proficient and brutally heavy, with lyrics that confront listeners with uncomfortable truths about animal agriculture and environmental damage.
