Captain & Tennille were an American pop duo consisting of husband and wife Daryl Dragon ('The Captain') and Toni Tennille. Formed in the early 1970s, they achieved massive success with their soft rock and pop sound. Their biggest hit was 'Love Will Keep Us Together' in 1975, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy. Other hits included 'Do That to Me One More Time,' 'Muskrat Love,' and 'The Way I Want to Touch You.' Tennille's powerful vocals and the duo's wholesome image made them hugely popular. They also hosted a television variety show. Captain & Tennille's music epitomized 1970s soft pop, offering gentle, romantic songs with polished production. The couple divorced in 2014 after 39 years of marriage. Daryl Dragon passed away in 2019. Their music remains synonymous with 1970s easy listening pop.
