Albums like 'The Crackdown' and 'Micro-Phonies' demonstrated their ability to make experimental music accessible. The band influenced countless electronic, industrial, and alternative artists. They disbanded in 1994 but reformed in 2009. Cabaret Voltaire represented the cutting edge of electronic experimentation, demonstrating that industrial music could be both challenging and danceable, influencing genres from techno to industrial rock.
