Bruce Dickinson is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and commercial pilot born in 1958, best known as Iron Maiden's vocalist. Dickinson joined Iron Maiden in 1981, and his operatic vocal style and theatrical stage presence helped make them one of metal's biggest acts. His powerful voice and impressive range defined Iron Maiden's sound on classics including 'The Number of the Beast,' 'Piece of Mind,' and 'Powerslave.' Beyond Iron Maiden, Dickinson has pursued successful solo career, written novels, and become a licensed airline pilot. His intelligence, wide-ranging interests, and articulate nature made him one of metal's most respected figures. He continues touring and recording with Iron Maiden.
