Bonnie Tyler is a Welsh singer born in 1951, known for her distinctive husky voice and power ballads. Tyler achieved international success in the late 1970s and 1980s with dramatic rock songs. Her biggest hits include 'It's a Heartache,' 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' (written by Jim Steinman, which topped charts worldwide), and 'Holding Out for a Hero.' Tyler's raspy voice, developed partly due to vocal cord surgery, became her trademark. She worked with notable producers including Jim Steinman and Desmond Child. Tyler's music combined rock, pop, and country influences with emotional intensity. She continues to record and tour internationally, particularly popular in Europe.
