Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter born in 1941, widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Dylan revolutionized popular music by bringing poetic, socially conscious lyrics to rock and folk music. He emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960s, creating groundbreaking original compositions. His songs 'Blowin' in the Wind,' 'The Times They Are a-Changin',' and 'Like a Rolling Stone' became anthems of social change. Dylan's controversial decision to 'go electric' at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival marked a pivotal moment in rock history. Throughout his six-decade career, he has explored numerous musical styles. Dylan has won the Nobel Prize in Literature, multiple Grammy Awards, and an Academy Award.
