Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988, consisting of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James, and Dave Rowntree. They became one of the defining bands of the Britpop movement in the 1990s. Blur's early albums like 'Modern Life Is Rubbish' and 'Parklife' captured British life with wit and musical sophistication. Their rivalry with Oasis became central to Britpop. Blur's music evolved from jangly Britpop to experimental art rock. Major hits include 'Girls & Boys,' 'Parklife,' 'Song 2,' and 'Tender.' The band members' intelligence and willingness to experiment set them apart. They've reunited several times for tours and albums.
