The Blues Band are a British blues group formed in 1979 by former Manfred Mann members Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness, along with Dave Kelly, Hughie Flint, and Gary Fletcher. The band was formed out of love for traditional blues and R&B, allowing members to explore American blues music roots. The Blues Band's music features traditional Chicago blues, rhythm and blues, and blues-rock, performed with authenticity and skill. Paul Jones's harmonica playing and vocals, combined with the band's tight musicianship, created authentic blues sound. While never achieving major commercial success, they maintained a devoted blues enthusiast following and have toured consistently for over four decades.
