Bill Wyman is an English musician born in 1936, best known as The Rolling Stones' bass guitarist from 1962 to 1993. Wyman's steady, melodic bass playing was fundamental to The Rolling Stones' sound during their most creative period. His distinctive bass style combined blues influences with rock and roll energy. Beyond bass playing, Wyman contributed backing vocals and wrote songs including 'In Another Land.' After leaving The Stones, Wyman formed Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, exploring blues and R&B roots. He has pursued interests in archaeology, photography, and writing, publishing several books about The Rolling Stones and music history.
