Arthur Brown is an English rock singer and theatrical performer known for his flamboyant stage persona and his 1968 hit 'Fire.' Born in 1942, Brown became famous for wearing bizarre costumes and a flaming helmet during performances, pioneering theatrical rock that influenced later glam and shock rock artists. 'Fire' topped charts worldwide and became a psychedelic rock classic. Brown's music combined psychedelic rock, soul, and progressive elements with his distinctive operatic vocals. Though he never replicated 'Fire's' commercial success, Brown maintained a cult following.
