Arrow (Alphonsus Cassell) was a Montserratian soca musician born in 1949, who became known as the 'King of Soca' and helped bring Caribbean music to international audiences. Arrow achieved worldwide success with his 1983 hit 'Hot Hot Hot,' which became a global phenomenon, covered by numerous artists and featured in films and commercials. The song's infectious rhythm and celebratory spirit made it an anthem for parties and celebrations worldwide. Arrow's music combined traditional calypso with modern soca rhythms, creating danceable, joyful music that celebrated Caribbean culture. He released numerous albums and toured internationally, becoming one of the most successful Caribbean artists of his generation. Arrow passed away in 2010, remembered as a pioneer who brought soca music to global audiences and created one of the most recognizable party anthems of all time.
