Artist: Argent
Genre: Progressive Rock
Argent were an English rock band formed in 1969 by keyboardist Rod Argent after the breakup of The Zombies. The band was known for their progressive rock sound incorporating classical music, jazz, and hard rock, with Argent's virtuosic keyboard playing at the center. They achieved greatest success with 1972 hit 'Hold Your Head Up.' Another notable song was 'God Gave Rock and Roll to You,' later covered by Kiss. The band disbanded in 1976, but Rod Argent continued his successful music career.
