Animotion were an American synth-pop band formed in Los Angeles in 1983, best known for their 1984 hit 'Obsession,' which became one of the defining songs of 1980s new wave. The band featured dual male and female lead vocals, creating a distinctive call-and-response dynamic on their biggest hits.
