Alyson Williams is an American R&B singer who achieved success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with her powerful, gospel-influenced vocals. Born in New York in 1962, Williams came from a musical family and began her career singing backup for various artists. She achieved her greatest success with the 1989 hit 'Sleep Talk,' which reached the top twenty on the Billboard Hot 100. Williams released several albums throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, establishing herself as a capable vocalist in the urban contemporary scene.
