The Alarm were a Welsh rock band formed in Rhyl in 1981, led by vocalist and guitarist Mike Peters. They emerged from the post-punk scene with a sound that combined punk energy with anthemic rock and folk influences. The band achieved significant success in the 1980s with hits like 'Sixty Eight Guns,' 'The Stand,' and 'Rain in the Summertime.' Their music was characterized by passionate vocals, jangly guitars, and socially conscious lyrics addressing political and social issues.
