Al Martino was an American singer and actor born Alfred Cini in 1927, known for his smooth, romantic vocal style and his role as Johnny Fontane in 'The Godfather.' Martino achieved significant success in the 1950s and 1960s with traditional pop. His first hit, 'Here in My Heart,' topped the UK charts in 1952 for nine consecutive weeks. Other hits included 'Spanish Eyes' and 'Volare.' He continued performing throughout his life, particularly in Las Vegas. Martino passed away in 2009.
