Al Jarreau was an American jazz and pop vocalist known for his extraordinary vocal range, improvisational skills, and unique scat singing ability. Born in Milwaukee in 1940, Jarreau achieved mainstream success in the 1970s and 1980s. He won seven Grammy Awards across jazz, pop, and R&B categories. His hits included 'We're in This Love Together,' 'Mornin',' and 'Moonlighting.' His vocal technique was extraordinary, using his voice as an instrument. He passed away in 2017 as one of the greatest jazz vocalists.
