Artist: 10cc
Genre: Art Rock/Pop
10cc were a British art rock band from Manchester whose sophisticated songwriting and innovative production made them one of the 1970s' most respected acts. The classic lineup of Eric Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme created intelligent pop masterpieces including 'I'm Not in Love,' 'Dreadlock Holiday,' 'The Things We Do for Love,' and 'Rubber Bullets.' Their layered vocal harmonies and studio experimentation set them apart from contemporaries. After Godley and Creme departed, the remaining duo continued successfully. 10cc's influence on art-pop and their demonstration that commercial success could accommodate intelligence was substantial.
