Heart is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1973, led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. The band became one of the most successful hard rock acts of the 1970s and 1980s, pioneering the role of women in rock music. Their early albums, including 'Dreamboat Annie' and 'Little Queen,' featured a Led Zeppelin-influenced sound showcased on hits like 'Barracuda,' 'Crazy on You,' and 'Magic Man.' After a commercial lull, Heart reinvented themselves in the mid-1980s with a more polished arena rock sound, producing power ballads like 'Alone,' 'These Dreams,' and 'What About Love.' Ann Wilson's powerful vocals and Nancy Wilson's guitar work and songwriting established them as rock icons. Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, recognized as trailblazers for women in rock.
